Together and Apart

Together and Apart is a dysfunctional tea set that serves as a collaboration between the past and present. The drawings are from portraits that I drew of myself as a child and have replicated with my adult hands onto my manifested canvas. Together and Apart speaks on the feeling of being ungrounded and disassociated. The vessels are protected from use but disconnected from their foundation and full potential. The threads are strong enough to levitate them, but how much protection are they offering? Is their supposed strength serving an ultimate purpose?
